What is Small Biz BarCamp?
Technology, innovation, communication, management, growth, user experience.
There are hundreds of thousands of small business people in the United States. There are thousands of technology solutions from hardware to software, communications, mobile technology, and the use of those including the ones everyone uses: apps and technology.
Small Biz BarCamp 1.0 was in September of 2010. There were about 45 attendees, about 12 stepped up for a presentation and we had some really good floor conversation right from the start. When speaking to a room of small business professionals you better make sure when you start talking about tax benefits of specific strategy you know exactly what you are speaking about because there may be 3 or 4 seasoned finance strategists in the crowd.
The focus was on technology, marketing, taxes, finance, and legal issues. Every presenter was very professional in what they do and brought a tremendous amount of information to the event for everyone. Like most BarCamp type events the information was quick, solid and constantly moving. This year should prove to be even more so. Bring a recording device!
Update – April 25, 2011
